ABOUT 'DEFECTION'
---
'Defection' is an online graphic novel written and created by John Walton using Bungie Studios' game 'Halo 3'. Set during an alternate reality human-covenant war, 'Defection' follows Paul-004, a renegade SPARTAN II who seeks revenge on the UNSC for kidnapping him as a child and enlisting him into the navy.
Meanwhile, Private Evans - a veteran ODST - is hot on the heels of 004, aided along the way by Richard-016, Jack-127 and Alle-022. As they journey across the galaxy, danger looms, ominous and inevitable, around every turn. Can they stop 004 and restore his loyalty to the UNSC, or will the merciless sanghelli Admiral, Rek Omnivai succeed in using the defecting Spartan to complete his own goals?
Totally non-profit and created purely for fun, 'Defection' looks at what the dangers and moral implications could have been for the UNSC had the SPARTAN II's become vengeful about their creation. Speculative. Creative. Epic.
